Review by Kieran Gracie

Earl Okin's Gramophone Show 2 is a delightful album that showcases the singer's unique blend of jazz, pop, and cabaret. The album comprises 15 tracks, each of which is a testimony to Okin's exceptional talent as a musician and performer.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Lady is a Tramp," which features Okin's smooth vocals and a lively jazz arrangement that is sure to get listeners tapping their feet. Another highlight is "How Insensitive," a beautiful ballad that showcases Okin's sensitive and nuanced vocal delivery.

Throughout the album, Okin's mastery of the gramophone is evident, as he weaves together a tapestry of sounds that transports listeners to a bygone era of music. His arrangements are sophisticated and intricate, yet never feel overly indulgent or showy.

About Earl Okin

Genuinely versatile, comedian Earl Okins talents range from that of a fine Singer-Songwriter, (in styles ranging from chart orientated tracks to the classiest of Jazz-Standards, via authentic Bossa-Novas), to that of Pianist, Guitarist, world class Jazz-singer, as well as his unique standing as Vocal Trumpeter, Trombonist and Clarinetist. Apart from appearances on British shows too numerous to mention, Earl has appeared at all the major London venues including The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium, Wembley Arena, The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and The Barbican. He has entertained the Queen and Princess Margaret. Born: 31 January 1947 in Carshalton (then Surrey, now London Borough of Sutton), England.
